The U.S. Government Holds the American People Hostage with the Lame Stream Media in Cahoots by Greg Holt, October 17, 2016
The Government of today does not merely govern, no it holds the people of this country hostage to it’s deepest desires, courtesy of the elites on both sides of the isle who decide what is and what is not good for this nation and people. The ideological whims of the elite politicians shape the course of the government; the driving force behind the direction government takes in this country should be the people who elected the politicians in the first place. Some would call these statements naive, I would call them truthful. The following quote sums things up rather well: “Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth.” Abraham Lincoln This writer hopes honest Abe’s ideal of government won’t parish, but in this day and age, one really has to wonder. The lame stream media in this country aid and abet the leftist liberal elites in office as well as those seeking office. Conservatives need not apply. If one is a conservative, that individual is in the cross hairs of the lame stream media and everything is fair game, unless it is positive. On the other side of the coin, if one is a leftist liberal - why then the lame stream media covers up crimes, refuses to report negative news of any kind, even colludes with the liberal campaign to make them look good. The lame stream media shows the conservatives to be worthless and wrong-headed losers needing to be removed from office, while showing liberals as being American heroes with plenty of candy to hand out. The Founding Fathers of this country would roll over in their graves if they knew of the current state of affairs in this country. Take a look at the thoughts of a few of these great men: The jaws of power are always open to devour, and her arm is always stretched out, if possible, to destroy the freedom of thinking, speaking, and writing. We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. He therefore is the truest friend to the liberty of this country who tries most to promote its virtue, and who, so far as his power and influence extend, will not suffer a man to be chosen into any office of power and trust who is not a wise and virtuous man…The sum of all is, if we would most truly enjoy this gift of Heaven, let us become a virtuous people. Man will ultimately be governed by God or by tyrants. Now more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature... If the next centennial does not find us a great nation … it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces. The balance of power in the three branches of government is long gone, more so every day. President Obama does as he chooses, while the worthless Republican controlled Congress does nothing to stop his illegal executive orders. The Supreme Court not only decides cases brought before it, the court also engages in legislating from the bench. All this happens while Congress sits idly by watching it happen; exactly what are we the people paying these political crooks for? Oh right! – So they can enjoy the benefits of power, money, and influence at the expense of the American people! Who each person votes for is completely up to that person. However, that being said – consider this: the next President of the United States you vote for will determine the future of this country; might even determine if this country even has a future. If Bill and Hillary Clinton regain the White House – the damage they will do to this country may well be un-repairable. Many more Islamic terrorists will slip into this country, more Muslims loyal to the Muslim Brotherhood will be allowed into powerful positions in this country. More jobs will be lost, our borders will become more open, allowing for many more illegals to come in. Our military will continue to be decimated. Hillary will use any and all means to take away the guns of the people. The economy will implode, our economy is already in bad shape, and we are deep in debt – but Hillary wants to hand out free college. Who is going to pay for that? Did money start growing on trees when we were not looking? Choose carefully who will lead this country – vote for the good of this country and it’s people. If people vote for only what they can get out of it (such as the politicians do), then the fate of this country is already sealed, and not in a good way either. The election this November is important, maybe the most important election in American history. I don’t think that is overstating things whatsoever. This election for President of the United States is not only vastly important politically, but even more important as to the future direction the United States will take as a nation and as a people.
