Where Are We Heading? By David Herbertson, May 9, 2017   

club-bilderberg.jpgA recent Gallup Poll of March 2017 indicates that on average 69% of Americans feel we are going in the wrong direction.  This poll has remained in negative territory for more than 10 years.  That means that about 212 million Americans believe something is going wrong in our land.

Let me start out with a quote from David Rockefeller (co-founder with Zbigniew Brzezinski) of the Trilateral Commission at a June 5th, 1991 Bilderberger meeting in Baden Baden, Germany.  

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine, and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years.  It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the lights of publicity during those years.  But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march toward a world government.  The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination (democracy) practiced in past centuries.” (www.mega.nu/bilerberger.html. The CFR, Trilateral Commission, and the Bilderberger group are three of the major organizations that have met secretly for many years with an agenda to create a New World Order under the United Nations.  The list of current and former members (changes often) to these groups and the power and control they wield in America and around the world is quite amazing.

Just to mention a few: Madeleine Albright, Tom Brokaw(NBC News), Roger Ailes (Fox), Joe Biden, Sandy Berger, Bill Bradley(Senate), George H.W. Bush, Jimmy Carter, Dick Cheney, Bill Clinton, Mario Cuomo, Thomas Friedman (NY Times), Robert Gates, Alan Greenspan, Timothy Geithner, Lawrence Summers,  Mikhail Gorbachev (President of USSR), Newt Gingrich, John Kerry, Henry Kissinger, John McCain, Rupert Murdoch (Fox), Sandra Day O’Connor (Supreme Court), Ruth Ginsburg (Supreme Court), David Patraeus (CIA Director), Lamar Alexander (Senator), George Soros,  and many more high level people that we would recognize as leaders in America and around the world.

The Clinton Administration was loaded with over 400 CFR members; the Bush team, it appears will match that.  Of Barack Obama's 14 top cabinet selections, 9 of them are affiliated with the Bilderberg group, 10 of them are affiliated with the Council on Foreign Relations and 5 of them are affiliated with the Trilateral Commission according to American Free Press. 

Let me quote a few more speeches from CFR Members that point out their agendas:

"The technotronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen. These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities." --Zbigniew Brzezinski

"The Council on Foreign Relations is the American branch of a society which originated in England ... [and] ... believes national boundaries should be obliterated and one-world rule established." --Dr. Carroll Quigley, CFR member, college mentor of President Clinton, author of "Tragedy and Hope"

Ronald Reagan is quoted as saying “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.  We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream.  It must be fought for, protected, and handed on to them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

Freedom is a very fragile, it is difficult to attain and easy to lose in this world we live in.  I am reading a book by Chris and Ted Stewart called “The miracle of Freedom.  7 Tipping Points that Saved the World.”  They claim that only about 5% (5 billion) of the total population that ever lived on this earth ever experienced the democratic type of freedoms that we have in America and other Western nations.

They estimate that approximately 100 to 110 billion people have lived on this earth and almost all of them lived under dictators and tyrants and kings.  Freedom House estimates that about 3 billion people currently live in “free” nations and that is because the number of free nations has almost doubled in the last generation.

If freedom like we have lived under in America is so rare and has blossomed in the past several centuries we should be thankful and want to understand how and why it occurred.   If those who wish to take away our freedom and turn America into a “supranational sovereignty” as David Rockefeller states we should take warning and find ways to prevent the elite from completing their plans to create a New World Order.  We still live in a free country with a constitution that allows “We the People” to determine our futures.

They state in the introduction to this book the following: “The rarity of freedom is only matched by its fragility, its ebbs and flows unpredictable and unsure.  And though it is impossible to know the future, this one thing is certain: If we do not appreciate the delicate nature of those singular events that resulted in this enlightened and blessed sliver of world history, its much more likely that the norm of tyranny will be reestablished.  It’s entirely possible that our children or grandchildren might once again live under the abusive hands of powerful and vicious tyrants.  If that were to happen, that precious thing we call liberty would become nothing but a memory.”

In his book, The 5000 Year Leap, W. Cleon Skousen points out 28 principles of liberty that our founding fathers said must be understood and perpetuated by every person who desires peace, prosperity, and freedom.  I will list only a few of them in this article that I feel are under attack by very powerful and rich elite that want to fundamentally change America.  He points out that the “Miracle that changed the World” was the birth of America and this miracle is responsible for more progress in the past 200 years than the previous 5000 years of history.

1.      The only reliable basis for sound government and just human relations is Natural Law.

2.      A free people cannot survive under a republican constitution unless they remain virtuous and morally strong.

3.      Without religion, the government of a free people cannot be maintained.

4.      All men are created equal.

5.      A system of checks and balances should be adopted to prevent the abuse of power.

6.      A free people should be governed by law and not by the whims of men.

7.      A free people will not survive unless they remain strong.

8.      The core unit which determines the strength of any society is the family; therefore, the government should foster and protect its integrity.

9.      The burden of debt is as destructive to freedom as subjugation by conquest.

10.  The United States has a manifest destiny to be an example and a blessing to the entire human race.

Ronald Reagan said that the loss of freedom is never more than one generation away.   What has happened in America in the past generations that could cause us to be going in the wrong direction that over 2/3 of Americans believe?

In 1962 in a Supreme Court case named Engel vs. Vitale, the court decided to remove prayer from our public schools.

Remember that America was founded and built by Christian men and women.  Our schools, hospitals, and orphanages, and our Constitution were all because America was a Christian Nation.  The Bible was the first textbook used in our schools and for close to 200 years our schools allowed prayer and Bibles in our classrooms. 

Listen to the prayer that offended the godless in America.

“Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence on thee, and we beg thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our country. Amen.”

The Supreme Court ruled 6-1 to ban prayer from our schools.  What surprised me was the makeup of the court that made this decision.  As a Republican conservative Christian, I used to think that it was the liberal Democrats that destroyed America.  They had lots of help down through the years from the Republicans that are members of the CFR.

Look at the court that voted 6-1 to remove prayer from our schools.

Just 10 years later (1973) we saw Roe v Wade, that has resulted in the death of over 55 million babies passed in similar fashion by a 7-2 vote.

And now we have the current Chief Justice of the Supreme Court John Roberts Republican voting as the deciding vote and making Obamacare the law of the land.

 

Notice that almost all the Supreme Court appointments came from presidents that were either CFR members or members of the secret Mason society.

 

Since the founding of the CFR in 1922 seven US Presidents have addressed the CFR.  Bill Clinton and George HW Bush did so while in office.

 

Members of the CFR have dominated the administrations of every president since Franklin D. Roosevelt at the cabinet and sub-cabinet level.  It does not matter whether the president is a Democrat or Republican.

 

“In theory, America’s government is supposed to be “of the people, by the people, for the people.”  While this concept rang true in early America, and many individuals still trust in it, the last century has seen the reality of power increasingly shift from the people to an establishment rooted in banking, Wall Street, and powerful multinational corporations.”

 

The word “establishment” is a general term for the powerful elite in international finance, business, the professions and government, largely from the northeast, who wield most of the power regardless of who is in the White House.  Most people are unaware of the existence of this legitimate “Mafia”.  Yet the power of the Establishment itself is felt from the professor who seeks a foundation grant, to the candidate for a cabinet post or State Department job.  They affect the nation’s policies in almost every area. Dr. Jill Novak, University of Phoenix, Texas A & M University tells us “that in America there are six living generations, which are six fairly distinct groups of people.  As a generalization, each generation has different likes, dislikes, and attributes.  They have had collective experiences as they aged and therefore have similar ideals. 

A person’s birth date may not always be indicative of their generational characteristics, but as a common group they have similarities.”  Born between 1900 and 1945. These oldest generations alive today had some characteristics that seem to be missing in our younger generations. According to Dr. Novak these older people were strongly interested in personal morality and near absolute standards of right and wrong. Marriage was for life, divorce and having children out of wedlock were not common. They were disciplined, self-sacrificing, and cautious. They lived through hard times and learned to watch their finances more carefully and not get into debt. The women stayed home and raised their children in most cases. They felt an obligation to pass on these traits to their children and grandchildren.

Statistics are telling me that our younger people are turning away from the church as they leave high school and enter our universities.  There must be some reasons that our younger generations seem to be lacking these qualities of the older generations.

A 2017 George Barna study indicates that only 4% of the millennials have a Biblical Worldview.  This worldview has been in decline now for several decades.

When the oldest generations pass away (which is rapidly occurring) what will America look like?  As I see the breakdown in traditional and Christian values I must look back at some history and especially as it relates to education in America.  Something began to take place in America that I believe created the extreme differences between the older and younger generations.

 John Dewey, the “father of education” had a lot to do with the breakdown we see today in our nation.  Born 1859—1952.  He was a founding member of the ACLU, a Fabian Socialist, signer of the Humanist Manifesto and President of the League for Industrial Democracy a socialist organization. He was said to be one of the most influential education gurus in American History.

Quote from John Dewey that sums up his philosophy: “There is no God and no soul.  Hence, there is no need for the props of traditional religion.  With dogma and creed excluded, then immutable (unchangeable) truth is also dead and buried.  There is no room for fixed, natural law, or permanent moral absolutes.”

John Dewey was instrumental in bringing a group of German intellectuals to America in 1933 from the Frankfort School which followed the teachings of Friedrich Nietzsche.  (God is dead) These socialist Marxist educators infiltrated our higher education system and their goal was the destruction of Christianity, the creation of chaos, and then a transition from cultural Marxism to socialism.  Our colleges and universities are filled with professors with these ideas that want to destroy freedom and liberty in America. Today the number of Liberal, Marxist, Progressive teachers in higher education out number conservatives by 6 to 1 margins and 28 to 1 in the northeast.

John Dewy admitted that the purpose of school is not to create educated students but to change their values and prepare them for their place in life.  Benjamin Bloom (1913-1999) was the inventor of OBE (Outcome based Education) which has now changed its name many times.   He admitted his educational philosophy was to change a child’s fixed beliefs.

 Common Core is the latest name for the top down push to consolidate and teach a one size fits all agenda.  You can trace this Common Core back to Robert Muller who was called the “Father of Global Education” who spent 40 years at the United Nations and was the creator of the World Core Curriculum.

Listen to what Dr. Pierce, professor of education and psychology at Harvard University had to say about the challenge each student presents.  “Every child who enters school at the age of five is mentally ill because he enters school with an allegiance toward our elected officials, our founding fathers, our institutions, the preservation of this form of government that we have, patriotism, nationalism, sovereignty.  All this proves that the children are sick, because a truly well individual is one who has rejected all of those things, and is what I would call the truly international child of the future.” (From a keynote address to the Association for Childhood Education International, Denver, Colorado 1972)

Is it any wonder that we are seeing the decay in our nation when we have had these kinds of individuals shaping our education departments?  People that hate God and hate America have infiltrated our land and especially our colleges and universities and many of our children have listened and believed many of their lies about America.  The communist has stated many times that they will destroy us from within and it looks like they are winning this battle.           

Galatians 5:1 “It is for Freedom that Christ has set us free”

I try to look at things with a Biblical World view.  I do not believe that America was an accident but it was a grand plan by the creator of this universe to spread the message of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world in these end times.  America was founded by Christians.  

America has helped more people around this world by demonstrating the love and compassion that comes from hearts changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  God has used America like no other nation to spread the message of hope and salvation.  We have lasted as a Republic and democracy and constitution for over 200 years. 

If most people that have ever lived under freedom and liberty are alive today (Freedom House says that 3 billion live in “free” nations today), it may be because God rose a nation like America to be a beacon of light and hope.

Listen to what God’s word tells us in Revelation 3 to the Church of Philadelphia.  Some Bible scholars call this the missionary church and place it in the time frame of 1800 until the rapture.  This coincides closely with the lifetime of America.  This coincides closely with the spread of freedom and liberty to much of the world today. This is a message to the church.

Rev. 3:8 “I know your deeds.  See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.  I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.”

Rev. 3:10 “Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.”

Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to nations, and then the end will come.”

During our life-times we have seen the fulfillment of these words like no other time in history.  The Jesus Film Project from Campus Crusade for Christ reports that since 1979 more than 200 million men, women, and children worldwide have indicated decisions to follow Jesus after seeing the “Jesus” film.  Through the technology that has only been discovered in the past several decades (by Americans) they have translated the film into 1500 languages and counting.  Every 8 seconds, somewhere in the world, another person indicates a decision to follow Jesus after watching the film.  God has truly placed an open door that no one can close as the truth about Jesus is spread to a hurting world.  What an amazing God we have.       

If Christ came as Galatians 5:1 says to “set us free” and if God’s plan for America was to be a beacon of freedom to the entire world to share the message of hope to all nations, we can rest assured that He has a plan for those who choose to trust and believe in Him.  If freedom has only blossomed in these later centuries it was because it was God’s plan from the very beginning.  Eternity awaits each of us as we live out our few years on this earth.  While we are here we should do our best to share the hope of Christ with others and fight for the liberty that we have in America.

I titled this article “Where are we heading?” Let me answer with, it depends on what you do with the person of Jesus Christ.  Something much more permanent and important than the future of America hangs in the balance.  

Jesus said in Rev. 21:6 “It is finished; I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.”

Rev. 21:27 says “Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lambs Book of Life.”

John 3:7 says “You must be born again.” 

God knows exactly what is taking place in America and around the world.  The creator of this place we live has a plan and He is working it out exactly as He pleases. His love and compassion and grace are available to every person alive today.  It is our choice—(Freedom) – to accept or reject the truth.  It will determine your destination.  Is your name written down in the Lambs Book of Life?
